NOTE: Nagaland is a remote state of India, and has basic facilities to offer. The hotels in Dimapur and Kohima are well appointed but basic in nature. Guwahati and Kaziranga are City and Resort property, and upscale.

DAY 1: Arrival in Dimapur Airport / transfer to Kohima (Approx. distnace/time: 70km/2hrs 40mins)
- Take your flight to Dimapur.
- Arrival in Dimapur Airport.
- Transfer to Kohima and check in to the hotel.
- Overnight stay in Kohima hotel.
Day 2: Kohima to Khonoma- day trip
- After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Khonoma, the Green Village, an Angami tribal village known for its history of resistance against the British, its role in the Naga freedom struggle, and its community-led conservation and eco-tourism initiatives.
- Later, visit the Kohima War Cemetery, a World War II memorial dedicated to the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
- Continue to the Kohima State Museum, showcasing Nagaland’s rich tribal heritage through traditional arts, artefacts, costumes and other cultural exhibits.
- Later, return back to Kohima hotel.
- Overnight stay in Kohima hotel.
Day 3: Explore Kohima- Hornbill Festival closing ceremony
- After breakfast, proceed to the Naga Heritage Village at Kisama, the renowned venue of the Hornbill Festival, offering an immersive experience of Nagaland’s rich tribal heritage and traditions.
- Explore the traditional Morungs and experience the vibrant culture of the Naga tribes through folk music, traditional dances, indigenous food, handicrafts, wood carvings, paintings and local sports.
- Spend the day enjoying the colourful tribal performances and local cuisine before returning to Kohima for an overnight stay.
- Overnight stay in Kohima hotel.
Day 4: Dimapur to Kaziranga National Park
- After breakfast check out and drive to Kaziranga. Kaziranga National park – a world heritage site famous for the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros. The landscape of Kaziranga is of sheer forest, tall elephant grass, rugged reeds, marshes and shallow pools.
- Overnight stay in Kaziranga resort.
Day 5: Kaziranga National Park
- Early morning, proceed for an optional elephant ride, offering a unique opportunity to experience the wildlife and natural beauty of Kaziranga from close range. Return to the resort for breakfast.
- Mid-morning, visit the Kaziranga Orchid & Biodiversity Park, showcasing the region’s beautiful orchids and rich flora.
- In the afternoon, proceed for a jeep safari in the Central Range of Kaziranga National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings.
- Return to the resort for an overnight stay in Kaziranga.
Day 6: Kaziranga National Park to Guwahati
- After breakfast, drive to Guwahati – The gateway to Northeast India, known for the sacred Kamakhya Temple, the mighty Brahmaputra River, and its beautiful blend of nature, culture, and Assamese heritage.
- Overnight stay in Guwahati hotel.
Day 7: Guwahati half day city tour and departure
- After breakfast, visit the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites and an important religious landmark of Guwahati. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya, a revered manifestation of Shakti.
- Later, transfer to the airport for your flight back to your home.
