The state is also known  as the Land  of the Rising  Sun!  It constitutes  a mountainous area in the extreme northeastern part of the country and is bordered by the kingdom of Bhutan to the west, Tibet to the north, Mayanmar (Burma) and the Indian state of Nagaland to the south and southeast, and the Indian state of Assam  to the south and southwest. DAY 1: Arrival in Guwahati

You will be met by your Tour Manager at Delhi airport.

Arrival in Guwahati – the Gateway of North East. Depending on our flight arrival timing, have brunch/ lunch.

Evening Tea cruise in Brahmaputra  river.

Overnight Dinner & stay in hotel at Guwahati.

DAY 2: Guwahati to Tezpur (183 KMS / 3-4 Hours)

Start your day with a visit to the sacred Kamakhya Temple, located on the Nilachal Hills. This revered pilgrimage site holds immense significance for tantric worshippers and Hindus alike. What makes it unique is its harmonious blend of Aryan and non-Aryan beliefs and practices. The serene surroundings and spiritual energy make it a must-visit destination.

After exploring the temple, begin your journey towards Tezpur, a charming town known for its rich cultural heritage and scenic beauty. Overnight at Tezpur.

DAY 3: Tezpur to Dirang (188 KMS / 4-5 Hours )

After a hearty breakfast, embark on your drive to Dirang, a serene hill station in the West Kameng district.

Dirang offers a perfect retreat to relax, reconnect with yourself, and find inspiration. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, cascading streams, and lush greenery, this picturesque village feels like a slice of paradise.

The village is known for its Tibetan–Monpa culture, with charming stone houses dotting the landscape. Above the quaint settlement, a steep hill stands tall, crowned with the historic Old Dirang Gompa and ancient stone walls, exuding timeless beauty.

Enjoy the tranquility and beauty of Dirang before settling in for an overnight stay at a local hotel.

DAY 4: Dirang (Local)

After a leisurely breakfast, we will head out to explore the charming Dirang Dzong, a tribal colony nestled on the banks of the Dirang River. This historical fort offers a unique perspective of the region’s culture and heritage. From there, we will journey towards the tranquil Sangti Valley, just 9 km away. Surrounded by dense forests and meandering rivers, Sangti is a pristine paradise. Known for its natural beauty, the valley also hosts the spectacular sight of black-necked cranes that migrate from China during the winter months. These majestic birds remain in the valley until May-June, offering nature enthusiasts an incredible opportunity to witness them in their natural.

DAY 5: Dirang to Tawang (139 KMS / 4-5 Hours )

After Breakfast drive towards Tawang.

Tawang is situated at an altitude of 3500m. The natural beauty and solitude of Gudpi and Chong-Chugmi ranges, Tawang chu River and Tawang Valley are mesmerizing. The inhabitants of the districts are all of Monpa tribes except Shyo village which is dominated by people of Tibetan origin, enroute witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. Legend has it that Jaswant- Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles, fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. His spirit is still believed to protect the place.

DAY 6: Tawang- sightseeing (Local / Day Excursion)

Post breakfast proceed for sightseeing, visit 400 years old (17th century) Tawang Monastery which is the second largest monastery in the world after Potala Palace in Tibet. The building is about 113 feet long and 80 feet wide and houses valuable antiquities, books and manuscripts-handwritten and printed. 

Later visit Tawang War Memorial, a 40 foot high multi- hued memorial, has a structure constructed in stupa design. Dedicated to the martyrs of Sino-Indo War held in 1962, this memorial is nestled among beautiful peaks, which  overlooks the Tawang-Chu valley.

Day 7: Tawang- Madhurai Lake- Bumla Pass (80 KMS / Day Excursion) )

After breakfast, drive to visit high altitude lake called as Shonga-tser lake, popularly known as Madhuri lake located  35 kms away from Tawang near the China Border (Bumla  Pass). The drive to Sangestser lake is full of thrill and one can still see the war bankers that had been used during the Chinese aggression in 1962. You can drive further to Bumla Pass which is located about 37 km away from Tawang at the Indo-China border over 15,200 ft above sea level.

Day 8: Tawang–Dirang (139KMS / 4-5 Hours)

After breakfast, check out for the hotel.

Leave for picturesque  drive to Dirang.

Day 9: Dirang – Kaziranga (250 KMS / 4-7 Hours )

The drive from Dirang to Kaziranga is a beautiful and scenic journey, taking you through lush landscapes and diverse terrain.

It’s a great transition from the tranquil beauty of Dirang to the wildlife and natural grandeur of Kaziranga, offering a variety of experiences for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts alike.

he distance between Dirang and Kaziranga is approximately 260-280 km, depending on the route, and it typically takes around 6 to 7 hours to cover the distance.

Day 10: Kaziranga (Local / Local Excursion)

After breakfast visit Kaziranga Orchid & Bio-diversity Park. Afternoon enjoy Jeep Safari in the central range of the park. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses moreover it is visited by many rare migratory birds.

Overnight in resort at Kaziraga.

Day 11: Kaziranga to Guwahati- fly back to your respective city (122 KMS / 2-3 Hours )

Have buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Your tour manager will brief the programme for today as per the flight timings.

Transfer to the airport and cherish the memories of this trip for lifetime.
