LUCKNOW- CHITRAKOOT- AYODHYA- VARANASI

This trip is going to be a perfect trip for history lovers as well as those who admire art – Experience with us the city of Nawabs- Lucknow, it boasts of a rich tradition of culture, art, poetry, music and food. Lucknow owes its rise to prominence to the Nawabs of Avadh (Oudh) who patronized dance and music as well as the culinary arts. A visit to Lucknow is incomplete without its mouth-watering relishes like kebabs, biryani, nihari-kulcha, zarda, sheermal, ulta tawa ke paratha, kachoris, ghewar, nimish, lassi & Jalebi and many. This trip further takes you to – ancient city of Ayodhya, known by most to be the setting of the ancient Hindu epic Ramayana and is known to be the birthplace of the God king Ram. The city is located at the banks of the Sarayu River further our trip ends in Holy place Varanasi.

DAY 1: Arrive in Lucknow

Welcome to the city of Nawabs.

We will arrive in Lucknow as per our flight schedule ex Delhi,  check-in and transfer to the hotel. Lucknow is a traditionally cultural  city with peculiar architecture and a blend of civilizations. It boasts a  monument of heritage sites on every corner!

Today we will visit Lucknow’s jewel in the crown, the Bara  Imambara & Chota Imambara. The Bara Imambara was built by the  fourth Nawab of Awadh, Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784. It was built as a  relief project for a famine that struck the city around this time.

The inside of the building has some of the finest Mughal architecture  of the city and the colours are stunning. While Chota Imambara was  built as a place of worship in 1839 and is a tomb to the Nawab,  Mohammed Ali Shah. From the outside, it’s an attractive building  inside it’s a wonder!

DAY 2: Day trip to Ayodhya (Ram Janmabhoomi)

After leisurely breakfast drive towards Ayodhya, just 2.5 hours  away from Lucknow, is the ancient city of Ayodhya, and is believed  to be the birthplace of Lord Ram. We will visit Ram Janmbhoomi  temple and Sita Kund.

According to Hindu mythology, Rama and Sita had come to  Ayodhya Hills and stayed during their exile. Sita was thirsty and  Ram pierced an arrow through the Earth’s soil crust and through that  pristine fresh water springs and streams gushed out. Sita quenched  her thirst. Thereafter the place is known as Sita-kunda.

DAY 3: Lucknow To Allahabad – (200 Kms / 4hours)

Drive from Lucknow to Allahabad, Allahabad is the Sangam of three  holy rivers the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. The river Saraswati is  invisible and is said to be flowing below the earth. The Triveni is a  sacred place for the Hindus. A holy dip in Triveni is said to wash all  the sins and free humans from the cycle of birth.

At Sangam yellow water of the Ganges merges with the green water  of Yamuna. The river Yamuna ends at this point and Ganges  continues after this fill it meets at the Bay of Bengal.

Sita Samadhi Sthal (Sitamadhi), this temple is the place where Sita  went into the earth, and is located in modern-day Uttar Pradesh. This  holy place is situated between Allahabad & Varanasi.

DAY 4: Day Trip Allahabad to Chitrakoot- (131 Kms/ 3 hours)

In the morning, after breakfast, we proceed to Chitrakoot in Madhya  Pradesh. It is believed that Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshaman spent  eleven and a half years of their exile. You will visit Ramghat,  Kamadgiri, Bharat Milap, Janki Kund, Hanuman Dhara, Sati  Anusuyia, etc.

DAY 5: Allahabad to Varanasi

After breakfast check out and drive towards Varanasi.  Check in and transfer to the hotel.

In the evening get ready to experience one of the most memorable  moments of your life, as you will be taken to River Ganges.

Enjoy Ganga Aarti with a glimpse of spiritualism at the Ganga  Ghats (river front). You can enjoy the Ganga Arti on moter boat.

DAY 6: Varanasi – Temple Tour- Kabir math & Kashi Temple

Early morning, visit the most religious Kashi Vishwanath temple,  Annapurna Temple.

Come to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast relax in the comfort  of your room for 2 hours.

At around 1230 hrs we will meet in hotel lobby and proceed for  Lunch, after Lunch we will visit the Bharat Mata temple, Sankat Mochan( Hanuman temple), Manas Mandir, BHU.  Later Visit Kabir Math of the Kabir Chaura Varanasi is the head-  quarter of the Kabirpand has become the focal point for all the saints and followers of the Kabir from all across the India as well as the  world. Later we will visit Kabir Math Lehartara Varanasi- a place of  beginning of life of the Saint Kabir. It is situated around 6 km from  the Kabirchaura math Varanasi and about 3 km from the Varanasi  Railway Station. The Lahartara pond is inevitably connected with the  saint Kabir and situated about small distance away from the math.  Later in the evening you can indulge in some shopping.

DAY 7: Varanasi

After breakfast, today we will visit Sarnath- it’s a city located 13  kms away from Varanasi. Formerly known as Isipatana, it is famous  as the site where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma, or where  Buddha preached his first sermon. 

Transfer to the airport to catch your evening flight with pleasant  memory of this Holy trip.
