DAY 1: WELCOME TO TBILISI

As per flight schedule

Arrival to Tbilisi International Airport. After immigration & collecting your bags, meet our representative at the airport.

After a warm welcome, proceed to the hotel in your comfortable vehicle.

DAY 2: ANANURI-GUDAURI-DAY 02 KAZBEGI TOUR

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards the border with Russia; Your first stop will be at Ananuri fortress which is a sixteenth century castle complex on the Aragvi River. The fortress stands beside the famous Georgian Military Highway, overlooking a large Jinvali lake. Its high, turreted stone walls protect two churches, a watch tower and a reservoir. The main church facade is beautifully carved with animal, floral and Celtic style patterns;
1130-1300 Hrs. Next Stop is Gudauri – young and rapid developing winter sports resort located at Kazbegi region of Georgia, 120 km from Tbilisi, at the height of 2,196 m (about 7,200 feet) near the Cross Pass. Skiing season lasts from December to April. In summer Gudauri is calm. Green environment, cool weather and clean air make a positive impact on the general health condition of people.

After that drive to Gergeti Trinity Church – At an altitude of 7119 feet (2,170 meters), the twelfth or thirteenth century monument was erected on the southern slopes of Mkinvarcveri. Gergeti Trinity Church is an important temple, remarkable for its beautiful scenery. The Gergeti Trinity Church is set poignantly on a hill directly below the towering white massif of Mount Kazbek, which sits at 5,033 meters. Built six hundred years ago, its stones have weathered repeated blizzards, rain and invasion to stand as a proud symbol of Georgian resilience in the face of adversity. It is the photographer’s perfect shot.

DAY 3: TBILISI CITY TOUR

After breakfast our driver will pick you up from the hotel;
Today you will have a city tour in the capital of Georgia –
Tbilisi which is considered as one of the most ancient cities
in the Caucasus.

Tbilisi for city tour where you can take cable car/ropeway
to Narikala Fortress to enjoy breathtaking panoramic view
of the city. Walk down to the district of Sulphur bath houses
passing by the only mosque in Tbilisi. You will stroll
through the Shardeni area – full of narrow streets with
cozy cafés, wine tasting bars, souvenir shops, and breathe
in the living past. You are able to visit Anchiskhati
Basilica and the clock tower of famous Rezo Gabriadze
Theatre;

1300-1430 Hrs. Lunch at Indian / Local restaurant

1430-1600 Hrs. City tour continues and you will visit
and rest sulfur baths, which is a place
where you will give a great pleasure.

DAY 4: FULL DAY KAKHETI & SIGHNAGHI TOUR WITH WINE TASTING

The eastern region of Kakheti is Georgia’s premier wineproducing area, where almost everywhere you go you’ll be invited to drink a glass of traditional amber wine. Along the way, make a stop at the village of Badiauri where you can learn how to bake traditional Georgian bread and can even try to do it by yourself. For those that love cheese, there are many cheeses in Georgia which you can try accompanied by hot, fresh, crusty bread. Next up, visit the Bodbe Monastery, one of the most important religious sites in Georgia. Today there is a nunnery where the monastery used to be, and the St. George Cathedral, part of the monastery, which holds the remains of St. Nino. There is also a new cathedral built, using much of the same construction methods used to make the most famous cathedrals in Georgia centuries ago.

DAY 7 : BAKU OLD CITY TOUR

0700-1000Hrs.

1000-1300Hrs. Our driver will pick you up from the hotel and proceed to the Old city of Baku to explore the UNESCO Heritage site and join the biggest festival of the country. The ancient heart of Baku is Icheri Sheher, a magical maze of narrow lanes and alleyways that’s still mostly ringed by battlement- topped defensive walls erected in the 12th-century. Built on a site inhabited since the Paleolithic period, this old city core reveals evidence of Zoroastrian, Sasanian, Arabic, Persian, Shirvani and Ottoman presence. During the tour, you will discover traditional mosques with calligraphic facades, old hamams, merchants’ houses and charming trading streets made all the more colourful with quirky little art galleries and carpet shops.
1000-1300Hrs.
You’ll see the mysterious Maiden Tower (Giz Galasy), a unique stone structure whose purpose is as unknown as its construction date – possibly as early as the 6th-century BC. A n d t o f i n i s h o ff , y o u ’ l l e x p l o r e t h e 1 5 t h – c e n t u r y Shirvanshahs’ Palace, once home to the noble dynasty under which Baku had its first major period of historical brilliance.

Visit to Highland Park located on a hill. Highland Park has the best view from a high, vantage viewing point offering panoramic views across the city. This is also the best spot to take photos with the fascinating Flame Towers. From the Highland Park, we take you on the ride on the capital’s Funicular down to the Seaside Boulevard. Baku’s funicular, which became operational in 1960, was reopened after renovation and repair in 2012.

DAY 8 : ABSHERON TOUR & SHOPPING

Ateshgah Tour. The tour to natural, historical and architectural monuments on Absheron Peninsula. Absheron Peninsula has special importance in terms of historical monuments. Absheron Peninsula, the ancient settlement, has the history dating before century. The Temple of Eternal Fire – Ateshgah – is an authentic Azerbaijani exotic. It is well- known practically all over the world. The temple in its present state was constructed in the 17th-18th centuries. It was built by the Baku-based Hindu community related to Sikhs. However, the history of the Temple is even longer. From times immemorial this was the holy place of Zoroastrians – fire worshippers (approximately beginning of our era).

Yanardag/Burning Mountain Tour. The ignition of this fire occurred in ancient times. However, it is rather a hill than a mountain, on the slope of which since ancient times natural gas is burning. One of the most famous and popular places of “eternal flame” among tourists.
1630-1800 Hrs.
Start shopping tour with local sweet shop, Azerbaijan brand: aliahmad’s. Proceed to local vine and alcoholic drinks shop. Continue with “xurcun” dry fruits and sweets shop
1800-1900 Hrs.

DAY 9 : GOBUSTAN TOUR

Gobustan is very rich in archaeological monuments. Thereserve has more than 6,000 rock engravings dating back between 5,000–40,000 years. The site also features the remains of in habited caves, settlements and burials, all reflecting an intensive humanuse by the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last IceAge, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. The site, which coversan area of 537 ha, is part of the larger protected Gobustan Reservation.Gobustan was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site considered to be of”outstanding universal value” for the quality and density of its rock artengravings, for the substantial evidence the collection of rock art images presents for hunting, fauna, flora and lifestyles in pre-historic times and for the cultural continuity between prehistoric and medieval times that the site reflects.
