The Kaziranga National Park provides you the rare sight of the exotic one horned rhinos, on the other hand Meghalaya greets you with picture perfect vistas. Its landscape is a compete treat for the eyes of a nature lover.

DAY 01 – BY AIR – ARRIVE GUWAHATI – Guwahati to Kaziranga

We will begin our journey from Delhi Airport, you will be met by your Tour Manager at the Delhi airport. Arrive Guwahati and Drive towards Kaziranga. check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can explore the surroundings of the resort. Take nature walks in such a serene environment.

DAY 02 – Kaziranga

Early in the morning, proceed for a Jeep safari Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses moreover it is visited by many rare migratory birds.

DAY 03 –Kaziranga to Shillong (260kms / 6 hours drive)

After Breakfast Drive to Shillong en route visit Umium Lake. Born in the laps of nature, Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya and offers every one of its Bequeathed element for exploration to the wanderlust. Located in undulating pine covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city centre is 1496m above sea level and currently has a population of around 270,000. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. The British legacy is still visible in the architecture and food habits of the population. Overnight at Shillong.

DAY 04 – Shillong – Cherrapunjee (53 Kms 2 hours drive)

The ‘Gleneagle of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with streaches of roses & exquisite flowers. The State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya. Shillong and its surrounding is dotted with splendid waterfalls cascading down deep valleys forming misty sparks as they break the silence of the surroundings. Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks. Shillong Peak offers a birds eye view of the entire city and valley. Cherrapunjee, the erstwhile rainiest place in the world. On the way, experience the beautiful rolling hills, the flora and the waterfalls, most importantly the Nohkalikai or Seven Sisters Falls, a seven segmented waterfall which falls from a height of over a 1000 ft. A visit to the living root bridge and then drive back to Shillong and stay in the hotel.

DAY 05 – Shillong – Mawlyynong- Shillong
After breakfast today we will drive to the Asia’s cleanest village Mawlyynong. Mawlynnong is one of the must visit places in Meghalaya. Visit Single Decker Root bridge and waterfalls on the way. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the living root bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Also visit crystal clear river in Dawki. Dawki River (Umngot River) is the major tourist attraction in this place . Overnight at Shillong
DAY 06 – Shillong – Guwahati
After breakfast drive to Guhawati. Afternoon visit to Kamakhya Temple – The temple is
dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the
Shiva Purana, that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save
the world from the Shiva’s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body
into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra . Overnight at Guhawati.
After breakfast.Today in time to transfer to Guwahati Airport and fly back to Delhi. We guarantee that you will cherish your memories of this trip for lifetime.
