Sikkim situated in the Eastern Himalayan region with an area of 7,096 sq km and altitude ranging from 300m to 8,586m above sea level is a wonderland blessed with natural abundance from icy cold deserts, flowering alpine meadows, to lush green forests and emerald mountain lakes. The crowning glory of this wonderland is undoubtedly the magnificent Mt. Khangchendzonga (8,586m), the third highest mountain of the world. The mountain is not merely a physical entity but the abode of guardian deity whose benign watchfulness ensures peace and prosperity of the land.
The phrase “Atithi Devo Bhava” finds its true meaning in Sikkim. Diverse rituals, songs, dances, traditional dresses, folklores and legends fill up the cultural canvas of the State. DAY 01 – Bagdogra - Darjeeling (93/kms, 03 hours approx.)
We will begin our journey from Delhi Airport, you will be met by your Tour Manager at the Delhi airport. Arrive Bagdogra and Drive towards Darjeeling. Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breath-taking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track. Surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens and snow capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the most exotic destinations.
Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An introduction to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth.
DAY 02 – Darjeeling
Before breakfast we will visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden.
Have your leisurely breakfast after returning, later on proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda.
DAY 03 – Darjeeling – Pelling (75Kms / 03 hours approx.)
After breakfast check out and drive towards Pelling. Transfer and check-in to the hotel.
Located at a distance of 120 kms from Gangtok Pelling is another serene, mountain village which lies in the western districts of Sikkim. This village is situated at an altitude of 2000 mts(approx) and commands a spectacular view of Mt.Kanchenjunga.

DAY 04 – Pelling
After breakfast start your day by visiting Khecheopalri Lake, also known as Kha-Chot-Palri, is a natural lake near Pelling. Visiting the lake is a beautiful experience since nature and silence reign here undisturbed. The peaceful shores of the lake are a welcome home to many unique birds and the surrounding forests of bamboo add to its exotic delights. You will also come across the gushing stream of white that is the Rambi Waterfall on your way to Khechopalri and Yuksam. It is a scenic natural setup full of natural beauty. The picturesque setting makes for a wonderful photography spot.

DAY 05 – Pelling – Gangtok (127 kms/ 05 hours approx.)
After breakfast checkout and drive towards Gangtok. At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid 19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight.

DAY 06 – Gangtok
After breakfast visit the famous Changu Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters.
Following this, you will visit the shrine of the famous Baba Mandir where it is believed that his spirit protects every soldier in the inhospitable high-altitude terrain of the Eastern Himalayas.
DAY 07 – Gangtok – Kalimpong (83kms/ 03 hrs approx.)
After breakfast checkout and drive towards Kalimpong. At an altitude of 1250m, Kalimpong’s location is ideal for a pleasant , relaxed getaway. Its clement weather has made Kalimpong’s orchids and gladiole well renowned. Up to the early 1700s, the Kalimpong area was part of the Sikkim raja’s domain. In the early 18th century, the Bhutan king also took it over. In 1865, after the Anglo-Bhutan War , it was annexed to Darjeeling. Scottish Missionaries came here in the late 1800s. The town thrived as a wool trading center with Tibet till 1950s. Today it’s a quiet hill resort and a heaven for retired people.

DAY 08 – Departure – Bagdogra (80kms/ 03 hours approx.)
Today in time to transfer to Bagdogra Airport and fly back to your respective cities. We guarantee that you will cherish your memories of this trip for lifetime.
