The north eastern part of India is blessed with oodles of natural splendours, separating t h e A s s a m v a l l e y f r o m t h e p l a i n s o f Bangladesh, hilly Meghalaya – the ‘abode of clouds’ – is a cool, pine-fresh mountain state set on dramatic horseshoes of rocky cliffs. The Kaziranga National Park provides you the rare sight of the exotic one horned rhinos, on the other hand Meghalaya greets you with picture perfect vistas. Its landscape is a compete treat for the eyes of a nature lover.

DAY 01 – ARRIVE GUWAHATI – Guwahati to Cherapunjee (05 hrs drive)

We will begin our journey from Delhi Airport, you will be met by your Tour Manager at the Delhi airport. Arrive Guwahati and Drive towards Cherapunjee. On the way, experience the beautiful rolling hills, the flora and the waterfalls, most importantly the Nohkalikai or Seven Sisters Falls, a seven segmented waterfall which falls from a height of over a 1000 ft. check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can explore the surroundings of the resort. Take nature walks in such a serene environment.

DAY 02 – Cherapunjee

After breakfast we get ready for a half day trek to visit the Double Decker Living Root Bridge deep inside the jungle. Afternoon visit Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Waterfalls or Mawsmai Falls), Mawsmai Cave, Koh Ram Hah and Ecopark. Evening back to the hotel.

DAY 03 – Cherapunjee to Shillong ( 53 Kms 2 hours drive)

After Breakfast Drive towards Shillong en route visit Laitlum Grand Canyons. Born in the laps of nature, Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya and offers every one of its Bequeathed element for exploration to the wanderlust. Located in undulating pine covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India. The city centre is 1496m above sea level and currently has a population of around 270,000. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East. The British legacy is still visible in the architecture and food habits of the population.

DAY 04 – Shillong – Mawlynnong - Dawki

After breakfast today we will drive to the Asia’s cleanest village Mawlyynong. Mawlynnong is one of the must visit places in Meghalaya. Visit Single Decker Root bridge and waterfalls on the way. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the living root bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Also visit crystal clear river in Dawki. Dawki River (Umngot River) is the major tourist attraction in this place

DAY 05 – Shillong – Kaziranga National park (295 kms/ 7 Hours drive)

After breakfast visit The city’s own Ward’s Lake, popular for short garden walks & boating also visit Don Bosco Museum. Later transfer to Kaziranga National Park, the home of “One Horned Rhinoceros”, Check in at your hotel. Evening is free for leisure.

DAY 06 – Kaziranga National Park

Early in the morning, proceed for a Jeep safari Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, its forests, wetlands and grasslands are home to tigers, elephants and the world’s largest population of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses moreover it is visited by many rare migratory birds. Return to the hotel.

DAY 07 – Kaziranga National Park – Guwahati (220kms/ 5 hours drive)

After breakfast drive to Guhawati. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Evening visit ‘Kalakshetra’, a place of Assamese history and culture.

DAY 08 – BY AIR- DEPART GUWAHATI (After Visiting Kamakhya Temple)

After breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple – The temple is dedicated to goddess Kamakhya an incarnation of Sati. It is on Nilachal hill, says the Shiva Purana, that the yoni or creative organ of Sati fell when Vishnu, in a bid to save the world from the Shiva’s tandava nrittya or dance of destruction, cut her dead body into 51 pieces with his suddarshan chakra. Also visit Tirupati Balaji Temple, Assam State Museum, Regional Science Centre and Sukreswar Temple

Depart to respective cities.
